TRANSLATION PRICE RATES – THREE WAYS WE SAVE YOU MONEY

Our prices are not as cheap as that of some other translation providers, but we believe that they are both competitive and very cost-effective, given the quality of the translations, and the massive potential downsides of using poor quality translations, particularly with technical documents. We may also take a little longer – but we think you’ll find that the service – and end result – is well worth it.

How we can help lower translation costs

We provide three unique ways of reducing translation costs, both in a given project and in the long term:

1. Within the document: we look at the content to see if the same sentence or segment (depends on the structure) is used more than once – if so, you will only be charged once for this.
2. Comparison with other live documents: if you have more than one file to translate with similar content, we compare these files with one another. Once again, if any sentences are repeated, you won’t have to pay more than once.
3. Comparison with previous projects: we use a translation memory system for translated terms or phrases collected from your company’s previous translation projects and see if they can be used again on current projects. So the longer you work with us, the more cost-effective it becomes.

Other translation providers may offer one element of the above. But we believe we’re the only translation provider to offer all of them. Between them, they have the potential to generate big savings.

For example, you could pay another translation provider a very low rate per word for a 1,000 word document. But you pay for the full 1,000 words, and the end results are likely to be very poor, risking your business and reputation. Free machine translation tools may give better results in some cases!

Alternatively, you could send the document to us. We would charge a higher rate, but you could end up paying for many fewer words, as we don’t charge for duplicate text segments. Plus, of course, the end results are far better.

Why wider talent access means lower translation costs

Many translation providers require their translators to use specific translation memory software. Since, for various reasons, there are many professional translators who don’t use or don’t want to use certain translation memory software, we’ve developed a unique in-house system that doesn’t require our translators to use any specific tool. This gives us a wider pool of translators to choose from – ensuring we get whoever is most suitable and cost-effective for your needs.
