For consistent accuracy

Medical, technical, engineering and scientific translations are by their very nature likely to include a good deal of terminology. Many of these terms are highly specific, not just to the sector, but sometimes to the organisation itself.
Efficient terminology management ensures both accuracy and consistency. In the absence of a listing or database, there can be discrepancies in translated text which cause problems with accuracy, consistency or comprehension. And the problem is repeated over and again in subsequent translations.

Terminology building services

For an additional fee, we offer a terminology building service. This is performed by a translator with specialist knowledge in your field. To get started, all we need is for you to provide a representative number of text files which feature technical or specialist terms used in your business. We use these to create an Excel spreadsheet with the terms clearly identified.

The list will then be revised by a different translator in each translated language, also competent in your field, to ensure that there are no mistranslations or other mistakes.

The end result is that you have a set of words and phrases which you know will be correct in all the languages you need.
